Giacomo Vaccaro

Giacomo Vaccaro was born in Sassetta on October 26th, 1953.

At the age of six, he received a paint box and begins to express his talent by painting the first sketches. One year later, he won his first award "The Golden Rose", organized by the City of Rosignano Marittimo.

The first technical tips come from the great artist Giovanni March but it is the proximity to the teacher Ferruccio Mataresi that will leave an indeleble mark . Painter with harmonious and pleasant style, he paints from the truth "en plein air” (he stays in front of the Marina when he paints Manarola ) using bright colors, that give to all his paintings a great brightness. He paints portraits, countrysides, grazing horses, streams, old mills, Livorno’s Marina, still life; Giacomo is a multifaced artist who loves to capture on canvas all the subjects of Nature.

As a member of the famous "Leghorn Group" ( Gruppo Labronico ) he has partecipated in various exhibitions in Italy and abroad: Romiti gallery in Livorno, Galleria Il Portico in Milan, Circle Artists Bresciani in Brescia, Artistic Circle of Venice CAM Hydrographic at the Palazzo delle Prigioni in Venice...

His works belong to important Italian and International  collections (Rome, Milan, Florence, Turin, Palermo, Cagliari, London, Brussels, Paris).
