Nathalie Figliolia
Nathalie Figliolia is a multifaceted Italian-French artist whose expressive research spans painting, sculpture, ceramics, and photography. After graduating from the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples in 1999, she lived in Paris for over a decade, completing a Master’s degree at the Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne and specialized studies in photography and engraving.
Vision and Technique Her art is defined by a sensitive language that engages both body and spirit, striving to convey the authenticity of life experiences through line and color. Her works often feature vibrant and brilliant palettes, described as "splashed with a thousand colors," and a material experimentation involving glazes, glass, and oxides, particularly in her artistic ceramics. From direct plate engravings (the Lieux Gravés series) to terracotta sculptures (the Fire Dynamics series), Figliolia explores the "tortuous line of life" between joy and sorrow.
