Natale Addamiano

Natale Addamiano is an Italian artist born in Bitetto (Bari) on May 12, 1943. He moved to Milan in 1968 to study painting at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts (Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera), where he graduated in 1972 under the guidance of master Domenico Cantatore.

His first solo exhibition was held in Milan in 1970. One of the most famous cycles of his work is "Night Diaries" (Diari Notturni), developed in the 1970s. Starting in 1976, he also taught painting at the Brera Academy and began experimenting with lithography.

Over the years, he has participated in many important exhibitions in Italy and abroad, including solo shows in Urbino, Milan, Rome, Paestum, and in international cities such as Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, and Krakow. He has also taken part in major art exhibitions like the Milan Biennale and the Engraving Triennial (Triennale dell’Incisione).

Throughout his career, he has created painting cycles dedicated to nocturnal landscapes, the ravines of Puglia (gravine pugliesi), and starry skies, often interpreting nature in a poetic way. His works have also been exhibited at art fairs in New York, Verona, Bologna, and in Chicago in 2025.

Addamiano is considered an important interpreter of Italian contemporary art, known for his profound relationship with light and nature.
