Shen Jia (born 1983) is a contemporary artist who works primarily with painting. Her works focus on the impact of social change on people's inner states and emotions within the context of globalization, as well as on the city, historical memory, and contemporary identity. The artist replaces her works with personal experiences and fictional imagination, thus showing the relationship between life, art, and the self. She currently lives and works in Nanjing, China.
