Chiarne

This work reflects Joe Tilson's deep emotional connection with the Tuscan countryside, particularly the Crete Senesi area, where he lived for a long time. The mixed media technique uses a splatter effect to suggest the granular texture of the soil and dry vegetation. The bottom base is marked by a wood grain pattern painted in yellow-brown, referencing his sculptural reliefs. The word "CHIARNE" stands out in the foreground in stylized red letters, merging the landscape with graphic language.
