This two-panel work (diptych)continues Tilson's series dedicated to Greek mythology, here paying homage to Demeter, Goddess of the Harvest. The two wooden panels with rounded corners create a diptych effect reminiscent of ancient tablets. The left panel, in aquamarine green, features a figurative painting of two open pomegranates, symbolizing fertility and the myth of Persephone (Proserpina). The right panel, in bright yellow, is a graphic explosion with Greek letters painted in blue and a three-dimensional wooden hand applied.
