Key Box, 2003
Wooden sculpture cm 41 x 33 x 12 (inch 16.1 x 13 x 4.7)
The work plays on the duality of opening and secrecy: the light wooden front features a metal keyhole and the graphic word "KEY". The backis painted matte black and shows the same carved keyhole, but framed by a hand-drawn white circle. The "Key Box" is a conceptual object that merges the formal simplicity of assemblage with the depth of the key and knowledge.
