VERBOS VOLANS
Neonsystem and wood cm 45.5 x 21 x 10 (17.91×8.27×3.94)
Albert Hien's work "VERBOS VOLANS" is a vertical light installation that evokes the famous Latin maxim "Verba volant, scripta manent" (Words fly, writings remain), abbreviating and adapting it. The artist presents the phrase with fragmented neon letters, arranged in five rows on a light background. Hien plays with the contrast between letters illuminated in a cool white/cyan and those left dark or unlit, emphasizing the idea of words that "fly" away or dissolve.
