The art of Natale Addamiano unveils the Cinque Terre, the Ligurian landscape, and its inexhaustible dimension of light. This is the essence of the works by Addamiano, presented in a selection of oil paintings on canvas and pastels on paper on display at the Castello di Riomaggiore from June 21. The exhibition is organized by the Comune di Riomaggiore, curated by Tatiana Taiocchi of the Calandra Art Gallery, directed by Sebastiano Calandra, and held under the patronage of the Parco Nazionale delle Cinque Terre.
Through his refined artistic sensitivity, Natale Addamiano offers, in this solo exhibition, a poetic interpretation of the Cinque Terre, capturing its complexity, depth of identity, and evocative power. Light is the central theme of the entire exhibition project: a presence that permeates and shapes form, defines space, and reveals the territory in its most profound dimension.
The Cinque Terre thus emerge in their authentic identity, revealing themselves not merely as a geographical location, but as a cultural, human, and spiritual experience.
With this initiative, the Municipality of Riomaggiore and Calandra Art Gallery reaffirm their commitment to promoting the cultural heritage of the region and to creating events capable of fostering a dialogue between art, landscape, and community.
"This exhibition forms part of a broader cultural enhancement program that Riomaggiore has pursued for many years, and which finds one of its most natural expressions in art," states Mayor Fabrizia Pecunia. "The Cinque Terre, and Manarola in particular, have a significant history connected to painting and to the artists who found inspiration here, as well as to events such as the Festa ai Pittori, which have left an indelible mark on the memory of our municipality. Renewing this dialogue with contemporary art means not only preserving a legacy, but continuing to keep it alive in the present."
Curator Tatiana Taiocchi adds: "The exhibition unfolds across two venues: the Castello di Riomaggiore and the Calandra Art Gallery in Manarola. Two distinct locations hosting a single, widespread exhibition, where visitors will have the opportunity to explore the Master's artistic production in a continuous dialogue between art and territory."
The exhibition opening will take place on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 7:00 PM at the Castello di Riomaggiore, in the presence of the artist, local authorities, gallery director Sebastiano Calandra, and the curator.
