In porpora

Omar Galliani's work, titled In porpora (In crimson/purple), is a diptych representing the essence of his artistic exploration into female beauty and duality. The installation is executed in mixed media (often pencil, red pastel, and graphite) on panel. The left panel features a classical, intense female face, realized with sfumato technique, emerging from a dark, mysterious background. On the sides of the face, two red marks resembling leaves or lips emphasize the themes of passion and the sacred, typical of his work.
